We just completed two days of testing and our final test here at Indianapolis. The last two days of our test were fruitful and we were happy we got to some time in at the place where we will show our progress. There were things we tested to be sure of our direction on chassis settings. Then there was the spec fuel that we received late on Friday and we had no idea what it would do. Our plan from the very beginning was to test with a motor spec that was on the low side of what we thought the target hp was. I believe we did just that. In the end we had over 1494 km on this engine with nothing more than a couple of oil changes. We also tested with a spec tire for Moto 2 that we are not really sure is an appropriate tire but none the less we were trying to be as fair to ourselves as possible. There is still the unknown of the spec engine, oil, and the correct tires but we hope we have prepared enough to rise to the occasion. This "closed test" quickly became out of control with press and media, and was anything but closed. The track had it's own agenda as we did but there was a lot happening. People that were supposed to be in the garage and some that weren't. Matt, and myself have developed some form of alergies and we are becoming familiar with the local CVS pharmacy. Today we were treated to some shop tours including Al-Anabi Racing as well as John Force Racing. These guys have some impressive toys for sure. We did our best to take a day off and be tourists but in the end we found ourselves sitting in the garage planning. I will try to update you again soon. Remember that the races will be live on Speed.
